The Vegetable Kingdom has for many years been the area in which alchemists begin their study & practice of the Royal Art. In this more than 11-hours long video, you get a front row seat to one of the best workshops ever seen on the labors in the Plant Realm, presented by Jack Glass, alumnus of Paracelsus Research Society, and Russell House, the last president of the Philosophers of Nature, and both former instructors of the alchemy course provided by the Rose Croix University of the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC in the 1990s.
Everything from the separation of the Three Alchemical Principles and the making of basic alchemical plant elixirs using different approaches, to working on confecting a Plant Stone is covered in this extensive workshop. The attendees get their hands dirty with lab work as they are being asked to carry out the various operations taught by Glass and House: distillation of alcohol using a retort, extraction of herbal tinctures using Soxhlets, calcination and more.
This video series greatly complements the teachings provided in the 48 lessons of the book Spagyrics: A Practical Course in Plant Alchemy, also published by P.O.N. Press. While everything in the lessons is explained fully, having the ability to actually see for oneself the execution of much of the work taught is a tremendous aid and the written material supported with workshop videos such as these provides one of the strongest foundations in the Royal Art one can attain outside of direct instruction from a teacher.
