Due to the importance of commencing one’s alchemical study & practice in the Vegetable Realm—not only because of the lower vibratory level of the forces or energies involved, but also because of it being the ideal place to cut one’s teeth as it lays the foundation for much of the advanced work in the Mineral Realm—more than one extensive workshop was given in the herbal labors. In addition to the fantastic 3-day class provided by Jack Glass and Russell House, alchemist Anthony Follari gave an equally fantastic 2-day workshop in which he covered, in great detail, the theory & philosophy of alchemy together with the fundamental practice of separating the Tria Prima and later cohobating them.

In this 3-part video series spanning over more than 7 hours, Follari covers the inner mechanics of alchemy and how the Qabalah can be a most efficient tool for elaborating on this, he explains the modus operandi of the Royal Art and the equipment used as well as its functions. He then has the attendees carry out extraction of the vegetable Sulfur by means of hydrodistillation, they go over fermentation to later extract the vegetable Mercury through simple distillation and then incineration and calcination to finally obtain the Salt by leaching the acquired ashes before all is put back together.

As with the workshop by Glass & House, this video series also greatly complements the lessons in the book Spagyrics: A Practical Course in Plant Alchemy, and both workshops greatly complement each other as one covers certain things more elaborately than the other and vice versa. Thus, together they provide a fantastic visual aid to one’s vegetable work!
